Landgasthof Pension Haus Hirsch Gaststette A two person room The cooking part of the kitchen Nearby nature The dishwasher part of the kitchen

What would you think of…

Getting to know German cuisine?
Cooking under the supervision of a real German chef?
Cooking in a relaxed atmosphere, in the kitchen of a restaurant?
Shopping for fresh ingredients?
Doing this from monday to friday while staying at a Pension with a small group of people?
Not having to know German, because the owners speak English!

If this sounds like the thing you want to do, do not hesitate and sign up for the cooking school in Kroppach: a village in the German Westerwald and surrounded by the beautiful Kroppacher Schweiz.

The program

Arrival will be on monday at about 3 o’clock in the afternoon. In the evening there will be a group diner after which we will marinate a Sauerbraten. On tuesday we go shopping for ingredients, after which we prepare our lunch. In the evening we cook our diner and eat it. Wednesday will be a busy day: we prepare a six course diner after which we do a wine tasting. On thursday morning we do something unrelated to cooking: we get a guided tour at the pottery of Marliese Fürst. After this there will be a lunch, and we bake the Sauerbraten we marinated on monday for our last group diner. On friday there will be a last breakfast and then everyone can go home.

All participants can take the recipes home.

When will this be?

The cooking school is opened from January until the end of March. Group size will be between four and eight people; this is to guarantee the individual attention. When there are less than four participants, we can cancel that week’s cooking vacation.

What will it cost?

€ 495,- per person.

Aprons and materials are included in the price, as well as water and soda during lunches and diners. We require a 20% payment in advance, which will be € 99,- per person. This advance payment will of course be subtracted from the final bill: it is an advance payment, not an additional payment.
